Discuss residential construction progress inspection requirements and lender instructions with AREAS.
Confirm the lender’s instructions
AREAS lists progress inspections among its residential assignments. Where an inspection supports a construction advance, confirm the lender’s process, required documentation and ordering instructions before arranging the visit.
Make the site information useful
Provide the property address, site contact and relevant plans or construction schedule available to you. Explain what has changed since the previous visit and identify any access or safety restrictions. The information required depends on the assignment.
A defined role in a larger process
A progress inspection provides information about construction status for its agreed purpose. It is not the same as a municipal building inspection, an engineering certification or confirmation that a lender will release funds. Coordinate those separate requirements with the appropriate parties.
